  • Born on 04.01.1974 in Villach / Austria as the daughter of a Bosnian Serb father of Serbian orthodox religion and a Catholic Croatian mother
  • Since the end of 1975 looked after by family in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) whilst parents moved to Germany
  • At the end of 1987 moved to Germany owing to the political unrest occurring at that time and the prospect of civil war in Bosnia. Attended school in Bielefeld; despite the lack of any knowledge of German rapidly learnt the German language as well as continuing to attend the Serbo-Croatian school in Bielefeld once a week
  • From 1990 - 1994 attended college with geology as the main subject; learnt additional languages: French, English as well as expanding knowledge of Russian, initially learnt in Bosnia; passed the general qualification for university entrance 1995 started course on law and business management at the University of Bielefeld 1997/1998
  • 1997/1998 Practical training abroad at the district court in Mrkonjic Grad / BiH
